THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IN THE CAYMAN ISLANDS

 

Under the laws of the Cayman Islands:

 

  1. The Church of England in the Cayman Islands represents the Established Church of England within the Cayman Islands.
  2. By Royal Order in Council of 1634 The Bishop of London possesses all Episcopal authority over The Church of England in the Cayman Islands.
  3. His Excellency the Governor of the Cayman Islands represents Her Majesty the Queen in, inter alia, Her capacity as Supreme Governor under law of The Church of England; and as such he is subject to all the ecclesiastical laws of England which are part of the laws of the Cayman Islands.

The Cayman Islands are within the ancient Episcopal Jurisdiction of The Bishop of London granted by the Crown in 1634.
